Dr. Tanveer Ahmed is a former journalist who writes a regular column in the Sydney Morning Herald. He has published in the major broadsheet Australian newspapers, The Monthly and the Griffith Review.

He has also contributed short stories to a number of collections, including "Growing up Asian in Australia" and "My Favourite Teacher". His first book will be released in October 2011.
